Job Role as a Companionship Carer
As a Companion Carer at Alcester Home Care, your main responsibilities include:
- Spending quality time with clients, having conversations and partaking in activities that foster connection and reduce feelings of loneliness.
- Help with light household tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and housekeeping, ensuring a clean and comfortable living environment.
- Help clients stay socially active by organising and participating in activities like games, crafts, or phone calls with friends and family.
- Safely transport clients to appointments, social events, or errands, ensuring they maintain their independence and stay active in their community.
- Offer emotional support and encouragement, helping clients get through challenges and keeping a positive outlook on life.
- Be aware of the client’s well-being, alerting family members or healthcare professionals if any changes in condition are observed.
